HONOLULU, Hawaii, December 1/PRNewswire/ -- HONCAD Corporation today announced that it has signed a comprehensive services contract with SGI, also known as Silicon Graphics, Inc.

The contract calls for HONCAD Corporation to provide on-site support services in the State of Hawaii for the complete SGI™ product line. Services will be provided on SGI™ servers and systems running on Intel® processors, Windows NT®, and Linux® OS systems, and IRIX® OS-based workstations, servers and super-computers and mass storage systems. Services include installation, in-warranty service, support contract fulfillment, time and materials and productivity services. The initial term of the contract is twelve months.

"HONCAD Corporation was the first service provider for the SGI line in Hawaii, creating a UNIX support team back in 1992. Over the last eight years we've built a support organization that services over three hundred workstations and servers, as well as more than forty terabytes of disk and tape systems. We are now taking the next step by actually providing 100% of the field support services for SGI customers."
